Is Lakeland Florida A Walkable City?
Yes Lakeland Florida is a walkable city. In fact there is a Pathways Plan which currently includes 26.5 miles of trails and there are over 100 miles more which are planned. My favorite places are the paved walkway around Lake Hollingsworth the parks. Many who prefer downtown will say Mirror Lake and the promenade.
In order to get outside to enjoy walking you need beautiful weather. Lakeland has plenty of that. The population includes may active people and you will see many walking even during the heat of the day. One day spent walking around downtown or around Lake Hollingsworth and you will know for sure that Lakeland is a very walkable city.
