Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland FL is located in the southern part of the city. The Lake is around 350 acres, up to 14 feet in depth and has a mean depth of 4 feet. Lake Hollingsworth is only about 1 mile to the south southeast of Lake Mirror another famous lake in the Downtown Lakeland FL area.

The Lake To Lake Trail

Lake Hollingsworth is encircled by the Lake To Lake Trail. This trail is almost exactly three miles long and is shown in detail in the video above. The trail is more than wide enough for 3 to 4 people to comfortably pass one another or to skate on. Along the path you will see all different kinds of wildlife although I do not ever remember seeing a snake. Believe it or not the larger cranes eat them, I see them do this behind my house which is on a nearby lake.

As you go around the Lake to Lake Trail you will see there are progress markers about every half mile. There are also benches to take in the scenery or to rest up during the hotter parts of the day. Bike riders can secure their bikes of fill their tires and the yellow bike stations. Pets are allowed on the trail and there are bags strategically placed.

The Lakeland Country Club sets on the southern shoreline of Lake Hollingsworth. It is shown towards the end of the video lined to above. On the northern side of the Lake you will see the beautiful designs of Florida Southern College. Much of the college is visible from Lake Hollingsworth Drive.
