There are many parks in Lakeland FL. After all it takes quite a few parks to keep over 110,000 residents busy even when they are spread out over 70 square miles of this magnificent city. Below is a list although not a comprehensive one of many of the best parks in the city. You will find that the best resource is the city at lakelandGov.net .
This is a city park that offers a splash pad for children or young at heart, covered picnic area and is very attractive. You will find it on the southeast side of Lake Mirror. See Photos
This is a large park that is most commonly noticed on google maps. The main attraction is the 5 softball fields on the north side. They are arranged in star pattern similar to the old Chrysler symbol. The park is close to FL-37 in South Lakeland. See Photos
This park is beautiful and an incredible thing for the city to do. The park affords children who may be challenged to take part in the park side by side with other children. It is an awesome place and located about half of a mile south of Lake Hollingsworth. See Photos
Probably the most photographed part of Lakeland is Mirror Lake from the eastern side. You are actually taking a picture of the Promenade and not realizing it. It is located on the west side of the lake. A great place for "reflecting" or just coffee. See Photos
This is another attraction south of Lake Mirror but be mindful it is closed on Mondays. The park boasts 10,000 flowers, plants and trees and it is something worth seeing with friends and love ones. It is slightly over 1 acre in size. See Photos
This is actually a large park. It is around 1/2 of a square mile of open areas, cross country trails and overall just a cool place to visit. If you are looking to get "outdoors" this is a great place to visit. You will find it in SE Lakeland just off of US-98. See Photos
This park is located on the west side of Lake Bonny. There are 113 acres of park and about 250 acres of lake. You can jog the 1.3 mile trail or simple get out and enjoy the views of the park and Lake Bonny. There is also a skate park and some sports fields. You will find this park just east of downtown Lakeland. See Photos
This park is also a rather large park. It is located on the western shore of Lake Parker and has quite a lot to to do. Of course the main attraction is the lake and one of the 3 boat ramps on the Lake is located here. Plenty to do for most and the park rates well online. See Photos
Named after the cities founder Abraham Munn the park is appropriately located downtown. Primarily an attractive park it is a place for visual enjoyment and enjoying the outside. Probably not a place to plan on spending much time. See Photos
This is also a very large park. Located in Lakeland but occasionally associated with Winter Have FL this is very much an outdoorsy place. Boating, fishing and hiking on these 750 acres of Saddle Creek Park. Located about 2 1/2 miles east or Lake Parker. See Photos
