Lakeland has a lot of shopping and retail. after all this is a city covering over 70 square miles and having over 110,000 residents. There are two main clusters of shops and stores you should be aware of.

Most Commonly Visited Stores

Fl-37 or Florida Avenue South is the best place for those in South Lakeland Florida to search for restaurants, service providers and retail stores. This road runs north and south on the west side of Lakeland and is covered with everything you need. US-98 is located on the east side of Lakeland and also runs north and south. However it is best for commuting and runs a distant second place to Fl-37's retail. Once you get north of downtown Lakeland that all changes.

North of Lakeland FL US-98 takes over for not only commuting but shopping. the Lakeland Square Mall is on the corner of US-98 and Interstate-4. For about 4 miles US-98 has shopping and retail stores spread out on both sides of the road. Once you get north of the Publix Supermarket at Lake Gibson, well it get fairly lean but then again you are leaving Lakeland.
