Lakeland FL has quite a few golf course communities. Because there is a commuting difference between the north and south parts of Lakeland we will separate the city at Main Street downtown and give you two different resources for the communities linked from this page.

If you are from outside of the area there are a couple of things to keep in mind. In North Lakeland FL commuting is a little quicker. Also on US-98 you have a lot f shopping in a dense area around Interstate-4. Other than that it can be rather sparse.

South Lakeland Florida is a more expensive and more modern part of the city. The average price of a home is higher and most of the homes and communities are quite a bit newer and nicer.

Two things to keep in mind about South Lakeland. Most of the shopping is on FL-37 or Florida Avenue South which is on the southwestern side of town. If you are commuting US-98 is on the southeastern part of town and is much quicker driving north and southward.
